Classroom Dojo: This is a web-based communication/student behavior program that is easy to access via cellphone/tablet. The students enjoy it because of the little monster icons it uses. Parents and teachers like it because it’s an easy way to send and receive messages. We will send an invitation via text or email.
Conferences: These will be held twice a year.
Absences & Tardies
It is very important that your child is on time to school and that they are here every day. If they are sick (fever, vomiting, etc.) please keep them home for a full 24 hours, and contact the office.
If you would like to pick up missing work at the office please let the secretary know when calling in. You can also e-mail us.
If your child’s pickup schedule has changed (latchkey, different person picking up, not riding bus, or if you’re going to be late), please contact the office immediately. Do not e-mail, as we do not always have time to check it throughout the day.

Volunteering: Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering during the school year by filling out the volunteer form, emailing, or sending a message via Dojo.
Donations: We will kindly accept crayons, glue sticks, tissue, playdough, ziploc bags, wipes, pencils, candy, or anything else students may use. Throughout the year we may also request special donations for celebrations or projects, which we try to do every month.
Birthday Treats: We will recognize your child’s birthday during our classroom’s “Morning Meeting” and receive a goodie bag and a crown to wear. Due to possible food allergies and critical learning time, birthday treats should not be sent in and will not be shared. You are welcomed to send a small gift (pencil, eraser tops, etc) for each student that can be distributed quickly at the end of the day.
Snack/Water: There will be time for a quick 5 minute during independent work time. Please NO JUICE/POP lunchables, bags of chips/crackers larger than a snack size bag. ONLY Water bottles with sports tops or flip up straws are allowed due to spills. As a reminder, EVERY student is able to receive FREE breakfast every day, so snacks should not be treated as meal-time.
Money: Please send in ALL money in an envelope/bag with student’s name and a note, so we know what it is to be used for. Money is not needed to pay for breakfast or lunch, as they are free meals for all students.
Weather and Outdoor Dress: Please be sure to have appropriately outerwear for the weather AT ALL TIMES. We do our best to get outside for free play time every day.
Toys: No toys are to be brought to school, unless requested. You will receive a note/message from school if they are requested.
